Dude, this weekend was so awesome. (As only to be expected when in the company of my comrade, the magnificent :iconphantomseptember:! XD) There's a freaking ton of awesome stuff in the woods behind Jack-san's house. I think you could go back there a hundred times and not see everything. Our original plan was just to take the dog for a short walk, but it turned into a three hour expedition/obstacle course thing with beaver dams, floodplains, swamps, rivers, slippery rotten logs, thorny bush things, pretty much anything nature can throw at you. Well, just about. And we conquered it all with British pride! HUZZAH! We got SO wet and muddy and covered in hitchhikers, especially klutzy ol' me who kept falling off logs while Jack effortlessly skipped ahead of me. It was the most fun I've had in quite a long time. I was also introduced to a BBC series called Waiting for God. It's about growing old, basically. It's AWESOME. The characters are just amazing, the script is brilliant in the way that only Brits can write, it appeals well to people who get depressed easily (I'd know XD), and did I mention it's British? XD We watched most of the first season. I'd love to get it for Christmas.

I didn't want to go back home. One bit. I wish I was still over there. Ahblarghlblarghlablblarglb...sigh.

Ah well. I wants to draw! Unfortunately much of my Thanksgiving break will be spent studying for finals, especially the Western Civilizations final, which I don't really want to talk about. It would turn into a bloody rant which would do nothing but waste my time. I want to liven up my room since I'll be moving back into it soon. It's very boring the way it is now. Not inhospitable, just rather...lacking in fun? I need to get rid of stuff. Get some maps of Europe or something. Maybe I'll rearrange the furniture too. :D

I'm worried about my rats. :worry: They've recently started bleeding quite a bit (no external injuries). For a while I though it was a normal...female thing. But according to last night's research, female rats don't bleed when they menstruate, and bleeding is a sign that there's something wrong, like a uterine tumor or urinary tract infection. I'm not one hundred percent sure that it's both of them that are bleeding...I've only seen one of them actually bleed (the horrible thing is I can't remember which one) and both are acting quite normal. But I think it's time for them to see the vet. I don't know what he can do, but it's worth a try I guess. The problem will be finding time this week to do it, and getting my parents to drive me. Mom keeps saying she thinks there's really nothing we can do, that rodents just have health problems and die quickly anyway. Which is true I guess. But I haven't been able to see them much since I started college...ah. I'll stop now.

Time to role play...

Edit: I removed the comment about gymnastics/being a tomboy. Wasn't pleased with it. At all.

Also...I watched How the Grinch Stole Christmas tonight. The cartoon version, of course (wouldn't have it any other way). It'd been forever since I had seen it, and I found that my appreciation for it was much greater now than it was when I was a kid. I love the story, the art, all the facial expressions...especially the writing. Extremely witty, and very funny too. Some people give Dr. Seuss a bad name, but don't most creative geniuses get that?

Wer reitet so spät durch Nacht und Wind?
Es ist der Vater mit seinem Kind;
Er hat den Knaben wohl in dem Arm,
Er faßt ihn sicher, er hält ihn warm.
